These Puffy Snowflake Paintings are a fun, simple and quick project to create with only 30 seconds drying time! This activity will promote fine motor and dexterity skills.

What You Need

  • 1/2 Cup Flour (Self-rising works best)
  • 1/2 Cup Salt
  • Food Coloring (Optional)
  • Water
  • Squeeze Bottle (dishwashing soap bottle, ketchup bottle, etc.)
  • Card-stock/Heavy Construction Paper

Directions

  • In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Add a few drops of food coloring if you want colored snowflakes. Add enough water to make the mixture the consistency of pancake batter. Pour into empty squeeze bottle.
  • Make snowflake designs and wintry scenes on the construction paper.
  • Place the painting in the microwave for 30 seconds on high (microwave times will vary!). The paint will be dry and super puffy!
