These Puffy Snowflake Paintings are a fun, simple and quick project to create with only 30 seconds drying time! This activity will promote fine motor and dexterity skills.

What You Need

  • 1/2 Cup Flour (Self-rising works best)
  • 1/2 Cup Salt
  • Food Coloring (Optional)
  • Water
  • Squeeze Bottle (dishwashing soap bottle, ketchup bottle, etc.)
  • Card-stock/Heavy Construction Paper

  • In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Add a few drops of food coloring if you want colored snowflakes. Add enough water to make the mixture the consistency of pancake batter. Pour into empty squeeze bottle.
  • Make snowflake designs and wintry scenes on the construction paper.
  • Place the painting in the microwave for 30 seconds on high (microwave times will vary!). The paint will be dry and super puffy!

All activities should be supervised by an adult.
