The Pediatric Palliative Care Coalition (PPCC) is proud to launch the Resource Matching Program (RMP), made possible through the generous support of the Edith L. Trees Charitable Trust. This program connects families caring for children with complex medical conditions (CMC) and intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) to vital resources at no-cost. By simplifying access to support, the RMP reduces stress and allows families to focus on what matters most: caring for their child.
Volunteer ApplicationThe RMP guides families to trusted tools and services already available to the community through PPCC, including our Webinar Series, Firefly Chats, practical toolkits, and an expanded Resource Map and database which will continue to grow as the program develops.
In addition, selected Pennsylvania families will participate in a pilot initiative called LANTERN. Under the guidance and supervision of the PPCC RMP team, volunteers will provide personalized support to participants as they Listen, Advocate, Navigate, Tailor, Educate, Refer, and Network.
As a small but committed organization, we depend on community members to help bring this program to life. Volunteers are essential to both the launch and long-term success of the RMP. Please consider joining us and help spread the word to others who may want to get involved.
Provide compassionate, ongoing support to families participating in the LANTERN pilot by:
We especially welcome parents with experience caring for a child with CMC and IDD to volunteer directly. Bereaved parents are invited to volunteer only if they feel emotionally ready. All applicants will be carefully screened by PPCC to ensure they are suited for this emotionally demanding role.
Support the growth of the RMP by:
This role is ideal for professionals eager to make a difference in their community, parents and caregivers experienced in navigating pediatric medical systems and students/interns in child development, child life, social work, public health, or other related fields.
Your involvement will help to create a beautiful program aimed at supporting families during some of life’s most challenging situations. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact us directly. Please help to spread the word to anyone who may be interested in volunteering.
